Saving Articles to Disk

To save a single article to disk on your computer, use the "File" menu on your browser and select "Save As."

To save the entire site to disk, click the Manage Space link on the left navigation bar, then click the button to "Backup Space" to download the archive in wikitext markup format. If you prefer HTML format, click the button to "Export Space as HTML." Click HERE to save the entire site to disk on your computer.

Submitting Articles

To submit articles to this site, you must be a member. If you'd like to join the site, click the "Join this space" link on the left navigation bar, or click HERE . One of the organizers will need to approve your application before you can begin adding your articles.

Adding Articles Article Guidelines

The Liberty BASIC Programmer's Encyclopedia (this site) is a place for full-length technical articles. If you want to share demonstration programs, tips, code snippets and things of that nature, please add them to the popular Liberty BASIC Programming Wiki .

Authors should make sure that articles are well-structured, that words are spelled correctly, and that all code works properly. Click HERE for help on technical writing.

Article Placement

Please list articles in the proper category. Articles may be cross-listed under multiple categories, if applicable. For instance, a beginner's tutorial on the use of string manipulation might be listed under "Beginner's Tutorials" and also under "Strings and Text."

Adding Articles

1. Navigate to the proper category. There are sub-lists in many of the categories. Select the proper category and list for your article.
2. Click the edit button at the top of the page.
3. Add your article to the list by typing a name for your page inside of double square brackets. If your article is called "Using Arrays", your link would look like this: * [[Using Arrays]]
4. Save the editing of the category page.
5. View the category page and click on the link you just created.
6. On the new page, click the edit link and type or paste your article.
7. Save your edits. That's all there is to it!

Editing Articles

To learn how to use WikiText markup to edit site content, click HERE. You don't need to know WikiText, though. When you are editing a page, there is a button near the bottom to "Use Visual Editor." If you want to try some editing in a safe place where you can do no harm, play in the Sandbox . Before finalizing the article, you can click the "Preview" button to see how your article will appear, and make changes as needed.

Additional Files

If your article requires images or other additional files, simply upload them and include links in your article. When you are editing a page there is a link in the upper right for "Images". Click this to view a list of all available files and images.

Article Modification

One of the advantages of this format is that it affords us the ability to update and modify the information. Organizers reserve the right to modify, expand, or delete articles as they determine such actions to be appropriate.
