The Jumpstart course was conceived and designed by Jerry Muelver - jmuelver jmuelver. The outline and many of the lessons were written by Jerry Muelver. The staff of the Liberty BASIC Programmer's Encyclopedia is modifying the course and will be adding lessons with Jerry's permission and help.

Before You Start

This tutorial, Jumpstart for Beginners: Programming Concepts, is intended for complete beginners who are interested in learning about computer programming. Jumpstart will not teach you everything you need to land a job as a programmer, but it will help you:
  • learn basic programming concepts
  • practice using those concepts
  • add to your knowledge step-by-step
  • write real programs in Liberty BASIC, a real programming language

Next, a few hints on getting the most out of Jumpstart.
